We have been studying symmetry as part of the third class maths programme. For this project, children found items in their own homes that had at least one line of symmetry (vertical, horizontal or diagonal). Some children used items to make a design that was symmetrical. They did a fantastic job and showed that we can apply our mathematical learning to the world around us.
